Jojoushi

The following is MY translation of Jojoushi. And yes, it might not flow like water, perhaps it's a little too literal... any criticism or other english versions are welcome. This is how I learn, :)



季節は色を変えて幾度巡ろうとも
（きせつは　いろ　を　かえて　いくど　めぐろう　とも )
(No matter often the seasons change their colors)
この気持ちは枯れない花のように揺らめいて
（このきもちは　かれない　はなのように　ゆらめいて）
(This feeling won’t wither, swaying like a flower)
君を想う
（きみ　を　おもう）
(I think of you)

奏で合う言葉は心地よい旋律
（かなで　あう　ことばは ここちよい　せんりつ）
(Play, our words weave a cozy melody)
君が傍に居るだけでいい
（きみが　そばに　いる　だけで　いい）
(I just want you at my side)
微笑んだ瞳を失さない為なら
（ほほえんだ　ひとみ　を　なくさない　ためなら）
(because I don’t want to loose smiling eyes)
たとえ星の瞬きが見えない夜も
（たとえ　ほしの　またたきが　みえない　よるも）
(even when the twinkling stars at night aren’t seen…)

降り注ぐ木漏れ日のように君を包む
（ふり　そそぐ　こもれび　のように　きみを　つつむ）
(Snow falls from above with sunlight filtering through the trees, it is my wish to be enveloped by you)
それは僕の強く変わらぬ誓い
(それは　ぼくの　つよく　かわらぬ　ちかい）
(That’s my strong, unchangeable vow)
夢なら夢のままでかまわない
（ゆめなら　ゆめの　ままで　かまわない）
(It’s possible that it’s just a dream, even so, I don’t care if it is)
愛する輝きに溢れ明日へ向かう喜びは
（あいする　かがやきに　あふれ　あすへ　むかう　よろこびは）
(To love, overflowing in radiance, with this joy I face tomorrow)
真実だから
（しんじつ　だから）
(The truth, therefore...)

The love to you is alive in me. wo- everyday for love.

残された悲しい記憶さえそっと
（のこされた　かなしい　きおく　さえ　そっと）
(Even the sad memories that were left within me, gently)
君はやわらげてくれるよ
（きみは　やわらげてくれるよ）
(were relieved by you)
はしゃぐように懐いた柔らかな風に吹かれて
（はしゃぐように　なついた　やわらかな　かぜに　ふかれて）
(As I frolic emotionally attached, tenderly the wind blows)
なびく鮮やかな君が僕を奪う
（なびく　あざやかな　きみが　ぼくを　うばう）
(I succumb to your brilliance, you fascinate me)
